Οι Evanescence επέστρεψαν και κάνουν αισθητή την παρουσία τους με το νέο δυναμικό «Who Will You Follow», από το επερχόμενο άλμπουμ τους «Sanctuary». Αφού το 2025 βρήκε το συγκρότημα ενεργό με διάφορες κυκλοφορίες σε soundtrack όπως για το “Ballerina“ στο Netflix με το single Fight Like a Girl και διάφορες συνεργασίες, το 2026 φαίνεται να είναι αφιερωμένο σε ένα ολοκληρωμένο studio album, με το νέο single «Who Will You Follow» να ανοίγει τον δρόμο.

Μοιάζει σα ξύπνημα από το παρελθον, αφού θυμίζει έντονα τους πρώτους δίσκους με την Amy Lee να δίνει το είναι της. Τα συναισθήματα μπλεγμένα ακούγοντας «What have you done to me / You drain the life out of me till I don’t know myself» έχοντας ένα πιάνο να την συνοδεύει. Εδώ είναι όμως που μπαίνουν οι κιθάρες και τα τύμπανα, για να δώσουν μια άλλη έκβαση σε αυτό το νέο” όχι και τόσο” άκουσμα, που μας είχε λείψει.

Στην πραγματικότητα, αυτό το κομμάτι θα μείνει πιθανότατα στην ιστορία ως ένα από τα πιο «βαριά» τραγούδια του ρεπερτορίου των Evanescence, με την djent-y επιθετικότητά του να βοηθά τη Lee να εκφράσει αυτό το συναίσθημα όταν «όλη η πίστη σου στην πραγματικότητα ξεθωριάζει».
