The new YMNKY!’s single “Tell Me” was released on January 9th 2026 on all well-known music platforms .
Now is a great opportunity to get to know this young band, as they will be performing at the Wacken Metal Battle competition on January 17, 2026 in Larnaca.
Their music is a dynamic blend of alternative and modern metal. They captivate listeners with their melody and dual vocals, which undoubtedly add variety to the songs.
And those lucky enough to see them perform live will long remember their energetic dancing, constant eye contact with the audience, and total wildness on stage.
The new single “Tell me” is inspired by photos and the stories behind them from the popular Instagram account Shibuya Meltdown. A cultural phenomenon is the contrast between nightlife and work in Tokyo.

try to self-reflect on the theme of routine and the need to break out of the vicious circle of work-home-work and just have fun. As we can judge from the album cover, they suggest having fun until you blacked out, but with a smile on your face.
At its core, the new song is an absolutely positive, life-affirming track, but not without a little spice in the form of breakdowns and growling vocals. The band is currently in the process of recording a new album and they are clearly continuing to experiment with their sound. Releasing a new song is an opportunity to see how fans react to their experiments.
What can be said: YMNKY! stand out with their style in the modern metal scene of Cyprus. However, I cannot help but note the fact that they sometimes quote themselves, which causes a slight sense of déjà vu:
“I’ve heard this before.”
