Steve Gibbs (www.stevegibbsmusic.com) :

Steve Gibbs is a British modern classical/ambient musician and composer for Film & TV, whose sound has been described as “cinematic” and “ethereal”.

Drawing on influences from classical, ambient, post-rock and electronic music, he produces piano-driven compositions, often accompanied by string arrangements, ambient textures and subtle electronics.

2013 saw the release of ‘In Passing’, written in collaboration with American composer Cyrus Reynolds and his debut solo release ‘Adrift’ was released in 2014. His music is available for licensing and also composes original scores for a variety of media projects. His work has previously appeared in advertising campaigns, TV idents, short films, documentaries, art installations and choreographed for dance.

His debut album ’Adrift’ has been remastered and due to be released on vinyl and digital by Injazero Records on April 28th 2017.

Fragile Balloon (www.soundcloud.com/fragile-balloon) :

Fragile Balloon is the alias of Giorgos Kontogiannidis. His origins are from Edessa, municipality of Pella (Greece) and has studied music technology in Thessaloniki. He composes his music in an experimental-electronic style since 2007. He was one of the founding members of “Coo” team (cooradio, coorecords) and columnist for the music online magazine “breakaplate.com“. Since 2014, running his own label, Numb Capsule Records.

Luke Howard (www.lukehoward.com) :

Australian Music Prize-nominated composer Luke Howard has been described as “absolutely heavenly” (Mary Anne Hobbs, BBC Radio 6) and his music as “an ambient masterclass” (Musos’ Guide), but no words can fully capture the potency of Howard’s enthralling compositions. A pianist since childhood, Howard has scored films and performed with artists as diverse as Lior and Jeff Mills, capturing audiences with contemporary classical arrangements that curl and twist around the boundaries of a particular emotion. Though wordless, Howard’s songs perform a function unique to music as a medium – that of evoking without describing, bringing listeners to a feeling which defies articulating.

Now signed to UK label Mercury KX (Lambert, Olafur Arnalds, Solomon Grey) and joined live by drummer and collaborator Daniel Farrugia, 2017 has Howard working across several projects: arranging the keyboard works of photographer William Eggleston, a pioneer of colour photography; a European tour beginning in the UK and ending with a performance at Germany’s legendary Elbphilharmonie; and a new record.

Howard is one of Australia’s foremost practitioners of contemporary classical music. Having already accomplished so much and with more on the horizon, he is set to captivate audiences worldwide.

Hior Chronik (www.soundcloud.com/hiorchronik) :

Based in Berlin, Hior Chronik was born in Athens in 1974. His relationship with music started when he was working as a radio producer for Jazz fm in the early 90s’ and as a columnist for various music magazines. He began creating music about 7 years ago and today his focus is on minimal ambient based mainly on piano. His debut album entitled “I’m a tree”” was released from Enregistrements Variables label in 2010.His 2nd solo album, entitled “Unspoken Words” was released by mü-nest in November of 2011. Last year he released “Taking the veil” for Kitchen.Label with many collaborations with Sophie Hutchings, Field Rotation, Halo etc. and “In Between” together with Arovane for ASIP.

Before the end of the year is gonna be released his solo piano album for Kitchen.Label.

Ed Carlsen (www.edcarlsenmusic.com) :

Ed Carlsen is an Italian-born composer/producer based in Copenhagen. He has been making music for 20+ years, first through classical piano lessons in his early childhood and subsequently as a guitarist interested

in rock, reggae, prog and classical. He studied the guitar at CPM Milano, and gained notoriety in the Italian prog scene as a member of a number of bands. Seeking to marry his musical knowledge with production techniques, Carlsen pursued studies in Music Technology at the London College of Music. There he gained an interest in sound design and making music for film and visual media. After a long break from playing, in 2015 he once again took up the piano, but with a different approach: rather than learning through the study of other artists, he set to further his development through writing his own songs. This, combined with his newfound interests in sound design, led to his vision for The Journey Tapes.
