Push Puppets, the Illinois-based indie pop-rock band, have released their new single ‘All Together On 3‘ from the album ‘Tethered Together‘.

It’s a cinematic single, with a timeless quality. “Tethered Together” has a tinge of melancholy and at the same time a reflection, the aim is to lure you into a stimulating as well as emotional sonic journey.

With Specht on vocals and guitar, Push Puppets are joined by Steve Frisbie (backing vocals and guitar), Kyle Magnusson (keyboards), John William Lauler (bass) and Greg Essig (drums). On this album, they are accompanied by a string quartet and a horn section on one.
“I think ‘All Together On 3’ paints a pretty vivid picture of someone who needs help getting out of a difficult situation. This piece was very satisfying to see it fully realized. It has some math rock moments, like phrases and patterns of varying lengths that keep things interesting,” says Erich Specht.

“Tethered Together” is adorned with a flawless songwriting. Rich harmonies, angular guitars, dramatic keyboards and strings, supported by a rhythm section that ensures a high groove factor.

“Once it was decided that strings would be on the album, the sound took an interesting twist. At places where I might normally put a guitar hook, I was now composing bold phrases for the live string quartet that the vocal or lead guitar could interact with.”
