Acclaimed rock band PERKELE is back, fusing the raw energy of punk, the thunder of heavy metal, and the enduring soul of rock ‘n’ roll into one electrifying new album.
Experience the evolution of rock like never before.
This latest release takes listeners on a dynamic sonic voyage — from the rebellious spirit of the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s to the cutting-edge sound of today. With unforgettable melodies, anthemic choruses, and lyrics brimming with positivity, Perkele reaffirms music’s timeless power to unite, uplift, and inspire.
But this is no retro revival. Grounded in the urgency of the present, the album also delivers a pointed reflection on today’s world. Through powerful songwriting, Perkele offers a message of resilience, hope, and belief in a brighter future — a rallying cry for humanity’s strength in turbulent times.
Blending bold, fresh instrumentation with subtle influences from Swedish folk, the band pushes their sound to new heights while honoring rock’s roots. The result is an album that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking — a resonant soundtrack for dreamers, rebels, and rock lovers of every generation.

“This is more than just an album,” says the band. “It’s a movement. It’s rock from the heart, for the soul, and for the world we live in.”
Get ready to turn it up — and feel every beat of the revolution.

Perkele
is a Swedish punk band from Gothenburg, founded in 1993. The band name comes from the Finnish swear word “Perkele”, referencing the Finnish roots of lead singer Ron Halinoja. The band initially performed with Swedish lyrics but later switched to English to reach a wider audience. Their musical style combines punk rock with influences from rock and occasionally ska.
Perkele gained international recognition with albums like Voice of Anger and No Shame. In January 2019, they released the album Leaders of Tomorrow, which features a stronger emphasis on metal elements and exclusively English lyrics. After drummer John Sandberg left the band in August 2020, Jouni Haapala was introduced as the new member.
In January 2023, the band released the EP Back in Time, featuring five re-recorded classics that had previously only existed as rehearsal versions. The band continues to perform regularly, playing concerts across the USA, Canada, Europe, and very frequently in Germany.
