We are happy to announce that in October Psycho Ward Fest Vol.4 will take place in Tel Aviv.

Israel’s biggest metal festival Psycho Ward Festival by Vladislav Mazourenko returns again. Save the date, October 19, 2024! with a crazy lineup that includes 13 (!!!) bands, in an event dedicated to the Israeli metal scene.

In addition to the excellent arsenal of bands and talent assembled, Psycho Ward Festival will go above and beyond the high level of expectations set, with a stage that has not yet been seen at festivals in Israel. Featuring pyrotechnics, merch stands from the bands and alternative stores, rest areas, photographers, food stands, coverage from the biggest metal magazines in Israel and a whole team dedicated to creating the notorious “psycho” atmosphere befitting the name of the event as well as a considerable number of surprises from the bands themselves!

Subterranean Masquerade (Progressive Metal)Psycho Ward Fest

Israeli prog metalheads Subterranean Masquerade (AKA Submasq) known worldwide for its highly energetic performances and the special connection they have with the audience. Fusing between Prog Metal and world music, creating thus a festive sonic experience, blending between East & West. Nowadays the band is signed with American label Sensory Records (Haken, Riverside, Diablo Swing Orchestra) and partnered with ‘Heavys’ – headphones engineered purely for metal enthusiasts, as well as endorsed by Synth Makers ‘Sequential’. The band had also cooperated in the studio with members of acts such as At the Gates, Melechesh, Novembers Doom and Green Carnation to name a few, Frontman Davidavi Dolev had also cooperated, live and in the studio, with members of ex- Guns & Roses, Within Temptation, Epica, asking alexandria and more.
During 2024 the band recorded their new 6th record ‘Spirit Animal’ to be released during 2025.

Walkways (Alternative Metal)

Israel’s biggest modern metal band. The band’s music is its antidote to the chaotic nature of living in Israel, an oasis for sanity and humanity, the band’s avenue to ensure the past is not their future. The genre-bending sound of Walkways includes ferocious riffs and screams, epic melodies and anthems, and fragile softer moments equally as profound. Their 2nd album ‘Bleed Out, Heal Out,’ (Nuclear Blast 2019) elevated their global profile. After extensive touring and sharing stages with Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, In Flames, Jinjer and more, the band is finishing a third full-length album due for 2025 release.

The Fading (Melodic Death Metal)

Founded in 2000 by lead vocalist Ilia Badrov (under the name Excessum), The Fading is a melodic death/ modern death metal band based in Israel & Florida, USA. In August 2008, the band played the WACKEN METAL BATTLE, at Wacken Open Air Festival and won 1st place. That granted them an international record deal with WACKEN RECORDS, sponsorship deals and offers to play different festivals across Europe and played with bands like In Flames, Five Fingers Death Punch, Bring Me the Horizon, Arch Enemy and many others. In the past years the band released 2 full length albums and many singles.

Matricide (Groove Metal)

Formed in 2003 by Auria Sapir and Shahar Guy, Matricide is an eclectic band influenced by various elements within the metal genre—combining the speed and aggression of Death Metal, the attitude and aesthetics of Hardcore, and the powerful groove and epic melodies of Nu-metal. The band has released 1 EP, 1 full-length album, and 4 singles, all of which received great reviews from magazines worldwide. Matricide also established their annual Summercide festival and has toured extensively across Europe, sharing the stage with renowned acts like Crowbar and Cryptopsy.

StormbounD (Symphonic Metal)

StormbounD is Israel’s most popular Symphonic Metal act. The band was formed in 2017 in Tel Aviv. Since then has been playing in all of Israel’s major metal festivals and was also selected to Open for Epica in June 2022. Its highly acclaimed debut album, December, was released on August 22. In 2023, StormbounD came in 2nd in Israel’s W.O.A Metal Battle, out of 53 bands that took part. The band’s performances include live classical instrumentation (bow instruments, flute and others), ethnic instruments and rich vocal harmonies. Their local concerts normally sell out. At the moment the band is working on its second album.

Winterhorde (Melodic Extreme Metal)

Winterhorde, founded by Alexander Latman, in 2001, is now one of the long running active Israeli metal bands. It has released 4 studio albums, 1 EP. They played numerous shows, including European tour and have major festivals appearances like Metaldays, Rockstadt Extreme and more. Winterhorde’s music combines different genres, from Black and Death metal to progressive rock and cinematic music. Two vocalists bring a rich vocal spectrum and make the Winterhorde show look theatrically unforgettable.

Desert (Power Metal)

DESERT, long-established as the leading melodic metal band in native Israel and abroad, delivers a unique type of War Metal – down-tuned, fast, but with melodic vocals and power metal-type heroic vibe. A band particurlary loved in Israel for its epic stage show and interaction with the crowd. With a rich portfolio of European festival appearances, headline shows in native Israel, touring (played shows in 20 countries along with Circle II Circle and headline tours). DESERT has a history of collaboration and sharing stage with major power metal acts such as Sabaton, Grave Digger, Primal Fear (the lead vocalists of these acts have sung on the band’s studio recordings and appeared with the band on stage), Battle Beast, Blind Guardian, just to name a few.

Off Grid (Progressive Metal)

Off Grid, an Israeli band that has been making their mark on the music scene demonstrates an impressive synergy between its members, each bringing a unique perspective to the collective musical vision. The band has gained recognition for their distinctive musical approach.” LA on Lock” music critic Kreadiv Kesh sums it up as a “masterpiece of simplicity,” evoking nostalgia for a time when music was simply music. This statement underscores Off Grid’s ability to capture the pure, passionate essence of Rock & Roll. A year ago their first album “The Reign of the Architect” came out. A fresh, captivating and modern take on heavy rock expressed through 12 well crafted gems, all presented on a double splatter vinyl with a cover, which is for itself, a work of art.

Oceans On Orion (Modern Metal)

Oceans on Orion is a Modern Metal band from Tel Aviv, delivering a unique blend of metalcore-inspired riffing, 80’s golden era vocal harmonies, solid songwriting, and powerful lead vocals and guitar. Known for their solid, captivating and energetic live performances and video productions. The band has played multiple single/double feature and festival shows in Israel, UK and Romania ft Five Finger Death Punch, Ice Nine Kills and etc since 2019 and has a strong following base. The band is about to announce a new tour in Europe and show with legendary acts. Oceans on Orion has released multiple videos leading up to their debut ‘Start From Nothing’ album released on March 24th, 2023 via LMH Records. The new album is almost finished and will be the level up for the band!

Saffek (Alternative Hard Rock)

SaffeK was formed in 2016 at Haifa, Israel by Oren Amitai. The band released 2 albums – Dissolve (2018) and All Too Human (2020). After some lineup changes the current lineup consists of Oren Amitai (Vocals/Guitar), Gil Meir (Guitar), April Mandil (Bass), Yonatan Irron (Keyboard) and Jonathan Alter (Drums). On 28 June the band opened for DISTURBED concert in Tel Aviv, in July 2023 performed on the main stage of Masters of Rock festival in the Czech Republic and by the end of the year won “Best rock song” in Israel’s Rock Chart of Radio Ze Rock.

Structural (Technical Death Metal)

Structural is a melodic/technical death metal band, Formed in 2015. Motivated by the ambition to create its own unique voice, Structural has been working on soldering the right combination of fierce drumming, complex and odd-timed modern riffs alongside communicative melodies, led by utterly ruthless vocals. Their debut album “Metacognition”, was released on June 3rd, 2018. Structural’s second album called “Decrowned”, was released on June 23rd 2023 by the record Swedish label ViciSolum.

Vengar (Groove Alternative Metal)

Vengar is a groove alternative metal band from the Tel Aviv area in Israel. The band was formed in 2020 and consists of Daniel Egbor on vocals, Itamar Mann on guitars, Eliad Katri on drums and Omer Sheer on bass and production. Vengar recorded their debut self-titled album and are now working on their second album. They have played at various festivals and shows across Israel and are ready to showcase the next step of their evolution at the “Psycho Ward IV” festival!

Drosera (Groove Metal)

Drosera – an all-female metal band from Israel. The band consists of Adva Hay (guitar), Shay Hochberg (vocals), Yarden Gadish (drumms) and April Mandil (bass). The band have been playing together for 5 years, and are known for our energetic live performances. These days the band is working on their debut album “Masquerade of lies” that will be released soon.
