School is the second single by the Italian composer AGA taken from the SPOT EP, which will be released October 22nd, 2025.
The song is an explicit tribute to the sound of the ’80s, built, as usual for AGA, on the repetition of sounds and vocals, which create a vintage, melancholic and yet sweet mood, inducing a state of trance that is beneficial for the listener.
Quoting New Order above all, the motto is: “I prefer white silence to empty words”, where white silence is the noise we face in everyday’s world.

There’s no protest, but rather a focus on communication made of meaningful and sincere words.
Something unfortunately often lacking in schools, for reasons not related to individual teachers, but rather due to the organisation of the system itself.
School
is a song that praises those who can transmit vibrations of constant growth, for the benefit of the freedom of thought of others.
School was composed, performed, and mixed by Alessandro Antolini
Guitars by Max Bertoli
Mastering by Alessandro Piatto (NOIA).
The video, based on an idea by AGA himself, was directed by Alexios Ciancio, who also designed the artwork.
The visuals take us on a blurred journey through childhood memories, sometimes confused, merged with dreams and flashes of genius.
A child gets lost among the school desks, distracted, imaginative, restless.
The grey of conformity overwhelms him until he finds refuge in his own inner world.
It is then that compasses and set squares come to life, marching as if in a geometric dream, and in the chaos a spark is born: creativity.
An homage for those who, as children, looked out the window instead of the blackboard.
(And perhaps, they were right to do so…)
AGA
AGA is a composer, creative performer and founder of the Drummer Caffè record label.
Born Alessandro Antolini, he’s been a drummer and drum teacher for over twenty years, after graduating at Middlesex University in London.
Antolini has collaborated with the late Maestro Ezio Bosso and has composed and published 4 albums to date: R[Evolution], Dream On and more recently Imagine and Short B-Movies.
The musician’s intense concert activity includes key appearances in Italian and European theaters and clubs, with highlights as the openings for Tom Barman (dEUS) and Blaine L. Reininger (Tuxedomoon).
The single Ambient 2.0, released in June 2025, has been highly praised also by international press:
Something conceptualized as it is created. The silence between the spaces says as much as the melodies. (Jammerzine, US)
Italian composer AGA invites listeners into a transcendent space.
(Apricot Magazine, US)
It is easy to use Brian Eno‘s ambient experiments as a starting reference point, but those more strident sounds, resonant drums, delicate cymbal strikes, and even the percussive nature of the piano are what take such gossamer beauty and give it form. (Dancing About Architecture, UK)
