Graven, the somber one-man project of Italian artist Luca Pasini, arrives with a strong debut in March of the Broken on June 10, 2025. As a immersive odyssey through sweeping, cinematic black metal landscapes, the album is an engaging narrative of existential despair, survival, and emotional resurrection, masterfully textured into a canvas of sorrowful melodies and enraged ferocity.
Emerging from extremely intimate experience, March of the Broken is an internal odyssey of collapse and rebirth, depicted in evocative terms as a journey into the unmapped territories. Pasini, the genius who spent countless hours working on, writing, playing, and recording the whole album himself, draws inspiration from monolithic black metal icons like Summoning and Caladan Brood augmented by melodic death metal and cleansed post-black metal atmospheres nearest to Insomnium and Drudkh. Aemme Recording Studios production in Lecco, Italy, rounds out the sound picture, combining raw and refined to devastating effect.
