Monosphere- amnesia album

Monosphere have just released their most ambitious and boundary defying release to date! Their new album ‘Amnesia‘ is out now and available everywhere. This collection of songs demonstrates the limitless scope of Monosphere’s repertoire.

Within the last four years, Monosphere have become one of the most respected independent bands from the German post & prog-metal scene. Not only did they support many of their idols and biggest inspirations such as Between The Buried And Me, Karnivool, The Ocean or Imperial Triumphant – they’ve been booked for direct supports to many big names in the metal scene including Cradle Of Filth, Napalm Death, Ne Obliviscaris or uprising acts such as Gaerea and Signs Of The Swarm to name but a few.

Having toured with The Hirsch Effekt, DVNE, Rolo Tomassi and Wheel throughout big parts of Europe, they’ve already found their community (especially at festivals such as Euroblast & Hellseatic) that love their versatile post/prog-metal style blended with influences from mathcore, post-rock, metalcore, black metal and even jazz, classical music, avantgarde. What’s most astounding, they never came off their path of aiming for a sound that feels fresh and unique, even neglecting any trends.

The band are currently on tour with prog-metal legends Between the Buried and Me.

Monosphere’s name

first popped up on an international level when the band self-released their debut album “The Puppeteer” in 2021. A re-start, after having played local shows including supports for Darkest Hour, Unprocessed and Hypno5e, and releasing some singles without following professional ambitions until that point. The pandemic, however, created a turning point for Monosphere, willing to prove themselves of what they can achieve with sheer will and true ambition.

After four singles (“The Puppeteer”, “I Am In Control, Pt. I”, “The Marionette and “I Am In Conflict, Pt. I”), the band gained attention of press outlets such as Metal Hammer, FUZE, and MoreCore. With a whole book about the composer’s thoughts and different hints throughout the album, Monosphere quickly established a nerdy vibe to their music and got critical praise by German and international press. From 2022 on, the band started playing live again, including first support slots and a 4-show-run supporting Rolo Tomassi. 2023 brought change.

After having played a hometown show in support of The Ocean, the band got massively respected for their DIY-ethic within their regional scene and slowly expanded out of their home-base with small runs alongside Imperial Triumphant, Celeste and one off supports for Humanity’s Last Breath, Wiegedood, Attila, Napalm Death, and Galactic Empire. They even drove to Milan to play their international debut alongside The Dear Hunter and once again proved that their dynamic metal sound is far more than just heavy music.

After teaming-up with Bloodblast for the release of several singles off their second album “Sentience”, the band got their first editorial placements, played their festival debut as a second-stage-headliner at Euroblast and finally released their sophomore album in October 2023. 2024 got Monosphere touring through all of Germany in support of The Hirsch Effekt.

More international shows came in with a co-headline run with Danish band Feather Mountain and a short tour through Austria, Hungary and Germany with DVNE. Supporting Karnivool at a sold-out show in Cologne has become Monosphere’s biggest affirmation followed by supports for Cradle Of Filth that once again show the versatility within their sound. A short summer run through Germany with Persefone and Gorod followed and led to another highlight in the band’s career: a tour support for Finnish prog-metallers Wheel that brought the band to the UK, Netherlands and Scandinavian capitals for the very first time.

2025 was a relatively calm year compared to its predecessor, however equally prosperous. After releasing their double-single “Lapse”, that functions as the introduction of the band’s newest chapter, they were asked to open two sold-out shows of metalcore giants Wage War.

Having played several headline shows, 2025 made Monosphere support heavy-hitting bands like Gaerea, Ultha, Signs Of The Swarm, as well as prog-metal acts Between The Buried And Me, Car Bomb and Ne Obliviscaris, alongside a performance at Euroblast Festival. Taking things a bit slower, the band took their time to prepare another independent release of their brand-new album “Amnesia” , that will embark on March 13.

Before that, Monosphere will release their new single “Anomia” in early December followed by two more singles and international touring plans for 2026. A year, where Monosphere will once again prove their unique and unbroken artistic vision. On “Amnesia”, they’ve completely committed to their own style, respectively their very own way and even turned down all signing offers they’ve received. The story is yet to be written, while the author – Monosphere – is more creative and liberated than ever before.

Since 2021 Monosphere have been supported by Initiative Musik, initiative pop, pop rlp and BV Pop with granting main songwriter Rodney Fuchs a “Pop Stipendium” to write “Amnesia”.
