Το τρίο rock συγκρότημα Krooked Tongue από το Bristol , πρόκειται να κυκλοφορήσει το νέο του single με τίτλο «Dog Days» στις 8 Αυγούστου 2025. Αφορά το επόμενο single από το επερχόμενο ντεμπούτο άλμπουμ τους, που θα κυκλοφορήσει στις αρχές του χρόνου (2026).
Όπως αναφέρεται και στο επίσημο δελτίο τύπου, τα προηγούμενα singles του άλμπουμ «Marigold», «Let ‘Em Loose», «Ember Mile», «Nothing Ever Grows» και «You Don’t Need A Sun Tan» έτυχαν της υποστήριξης των Apple editorial’s «Breaking Hard Rock», «New In Rock», New Noise Magazine, HEAVY Magazine, CLOUT, Fab UK, Sirius XM, Total Rock, Primordial Radio και Boogaloo Radio.

Φαίνεται πως κάτι έχει πάει πολύ καλά αφού ήδη το «Nothing Ever Grows» ακούστηκε κατά τη διάρκεια του αγώνα πυγμαχίας Bivol vs Beterbiev στο DAZN Sports ενώ το «Let ‘Em Loose» χρησιμοποιήθηκε ως soundtrack της ζωντανής εκπομπής Progress Wrestling στο Electric Ballroom του Λονδίνου.

Ο τραγουδιστής και στιχουργός του συγκροτήματος Oli Rainsford, είπε για αυτό:
“‘I feel like ‘Dog Days’ is a tune that perfectly sums up that feeling of teenage love; The all or nothing nature of that, as if nothing better could ever come along. Hindsight is everything now, but the innocence of youth is everything at that time. We attach importance to things that seem so trivial now but in the moment, are our whole life. Those years are ones where we find ourselves, who we are, and those first relationships we have are cornerstones throughout the rest of our lives. Nobody forgets their first love, that’s for damn sure. There’s a nostalgia for the teen years that I think resonates with most people in their 20s and beyond. A retrospective comfort that makes us remember the weather somehow always being good. Every memory dressed in a golden hue and every moment packed with a constant stream of peers that never seemed to fade. Of course, as we get older they do; friends drift apart and relationships, despite our naivety, come and go. But to have felt the full bearing of our budding emotions at that time, as if the whole world stopped for a summer just so you could live it to the maximum is a beautiful thing.
“‘Dog Days’ is a much more authentically written tune, if you can call it that. It was written on an acoustic originally and then spruced up later with all the niceties of our electric sound. You can still hear that acoustic throughout the tune though as we wanted to keep that rhythm and authentic feel throughout. It’s quite a bass heavy track despite its soft nature, which is quite a cool concoction of tonalities. I think it helps drive home that nostalgic fullness that the song harps on.”

Οι Krooked Tongue έκαναν την εμφάνισή τους με την κυκλοφορία του αναγνωρισμένου ντεμπούτου EP τους «No Vacancy Hotel» τον Φεβρουάριο του 2022, το οποίο ηχογραφήθηκε με τον Josh Gallop (Phoxjaw, Mother Vulture) στα Stage 2 Studios. Το EP έχει συγκεντρώσει πάνω από 250.000 streams και έλαβε υποστήριξη από δημοσιεύσεις όπως τα Ones To Watch, HardBeat Magazine και Distorted Sound.
Το δεύτερο EP τους, «Deathproof», που κυκλοφόρησε τον Μάιο του 2023, σηματοδότησε την αρχή της εξέλιξης της μπάντας, με μια ανανεωμένη ωριμότητα στη σύνθεση των τραγουδιών τους και μια εμφανή πρόοδο στον ήχο τους. Το «Deathproof» έχει συγκεντρώσει πάνω από 350.000 streams μέχρι σήμερα και έχει τιμηθεί από το Louder Than War Radio, το Ones To Watch, το Sirius XM, το BBC Introducing και πολλά άλλα.
Τον Αύγουστο του 2024 πραγματοποίησαν την μεγαλύτερη περιοδεία τους μέχρι σήμερα, υποστηρίζοντας τον Kid Brunswick στην τελευταία του περιοδεία «Dead Forever» σε όλο το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο. Έχουν επίσης μοιραστεί τη σκηνή με τους False Heads, Virgin Marys, Phoxjaw, Pulled Apart By Horses, The Soap Girls και Mother Vulture και έχουν παίξει σε φεστιβάλ όπως το Icebreaker, το Dot to Dot, το The Godney Gathering, το Tallinn Music Week της Εσθονίας και το Burn It Down.
