Done with You bursts with energy, is a liberation song from the chains of a toxic relationship.
Blacktop Overdrive Experience have grown a songwriting close to the bone, riding like a high-speed train through intro / refrain / chorus /bridge and riffs, with not a single boring note.

Done with You

is the perfect song to shout at the wheel while driving on a long distance.
Heavy classic rock rejuvenated by stoner guitars and desertic Californian vibes.
Recorded and mastered at Nuevarte Studios, Misterbianco (CT).

The videoclip was directed by Giacomo Scuderi from Giobbe Visual Studio.
The locations are on eastern coastal side of Sicily and also on the slopes of Etna Vulcano.
The actress in the video is Roberta Vinciullo.

Blacktop Overdrive Experience

started in 2014, as a project of three friends from the Catania area in Sicily, all into 70s rock and blues.
Peppe Papa on bass, Antonio Valentino on drums and backing vocals, and Gianfranco Torrisi on guitar and vocals.

The choice of English for the lyrics occurs in an absolutely natural way, as Gianfranco was born and lived for several years in Australia.
Since its inception, the trio has dedicated itself to writing songs inspired by 70s-80s rock and blues. Also by more “modern” genres such as Grunge and 90s Stoner.

The first eponymous album was released in October 2017, and led the trio to perform at the Rocketta Summer Live at the Benedictine Monastery of Catania, opening the concert for two international bands, Photo Taxis and Random Recipe.

At the end of 2019 the trio began working on the new album Out of the Show. Due to the prolonged closures due to Covid, was only completed in March 2022, and then released in March 2024.
Out of the Show, compared to the first work, distances itself from classic rock, seeking rhythmic and harmonic solutions closer to a more contemporary, grungey and raw sound.
