The Daily Ration deliver a song built over the classic rock ashes, with mantra guitar riffs made of concrete, dusty basslines, a tight drumming and visionary vocals. Sleepy is the sound of the rising sun in the Joshua Tree desert, after a sleepless night spent in sweat, fighting with demons.
Sleepy
is also the first single from The Daily Ration second album, planned for 2025, and it was produced by Michele Quaini.

The Daily Ration
are an Italian alternative rock band formed in Milan in the winter of 2021-2022. Part of the wider musical project of the artist SOMA, aka Davide Fortunato.
Soma is the name of the drug taken in small doses by the characters from Aldous Huxley sci-fi novel Brave New World. Which inspired also the band’s name, as The Daily Ration (of music) being a kind of addiction to ensure a better quality of life.
The Daily Ration lyrics cross the themes of injustice and love.
Stories of deception, morality and respect for minorities.
They are not aiming to represent life as it is. But to play hymns to an alternative interpretation which source is the inner self.
The Daily Ration released their first and self-titled album on January 19th, 2023.
In Summer of 2024, after a year which saw the band perform frequently in clubs around the Milan area. The band felt ready for a new chapter, and started to work at new composition.
The plan this time is to release new songs as singles as soon they’re ready, collecting them later in the album format.
