ULCERATE kicking off European 34-date tour in under two weeks

In under two weeks, New Zealand unorthodox death metal ensemble ULCERATE will embark on their 34-date ‘Eclipse Death’ European tour. Tickets are running low for Athens, Berlin, Servants of Chaos Fest and London, while Mammothfest, Weiher, Leeuwarden, Wasquehal, Lyon, Madrid, Milano, Zagreb, Prague, Vienna, Istanbul, Budapest, Krakow, Warsaw are selling fast.

The tour will kick off in the Netherlands on 12th October at Soulcrusher Fest, which is already sold out.

During this extensive tour, ULCERATE will present their exceptional new album, “Cutting the Throat of God”, in a live setting.

For this expedition,

ULCERATE will be joined by French extreme sludge band FANGE for select dates, and by Latin American black metal band SELBST on the tour’s second leg. Following the recent release of SELBST’s acclaimed third album, “Despondency Chord Progressions”, this tour offers a rare opportunity to witness two of Debemur Mortis Productions’ finest artists showcasing their latest and greatest works live.

Δευτέρα 14 Οκτωβρίου στο Κύτταρο, οι Νεοζηλανδοί Avant Garde Deathsters Ulcerate επιστρέφουν στην Αθήνα!

Ήταν περισσότερο από 15 χρόνια πριν, όταν όλος ο κόσμος που ερχόταν σε επαφή με τους Ulcerate, μην έχοντας ακούσει κάτι παρόμοιο , μιλούσε για το μέλλον στον ακραίο ήχο, πιστεύοντας πως θα δημιουργήσουν ένα νέο ρεύμα/υποείδος. Το μέλλον πλέον έχει γίνει παρόν, και τόσα χρόνια μετά η αλήθεια είναι ότι κανείς δεν έχει τολμήσει να παίξει σαν αυτούς. 7 Albums και συνεχίζουν να αποτελούν μία κατηγορία μόνοι τους! Οι Νεοζηλανδοί σε κάθε τους πόνημα κάνουν την υπέρβαση και βάζουν τον πήχη όλο και πιο ψηλά! “Εξωγήινο” παίξιμο, Death Metal με Black ατμόσφαιρα, Avant Garde αρπίσματα και ένα Drumming που όμοιο του δεν υπάρχει εκεί έξω.

Η επιστροφή τους στη χώρα μας γίνεται με νέο Album, 7 χρόνια μετά την πρώτη τους εμφάνιση στην οποία όσοι παρευρεθήκαμε, παγωμένοι – αποσβολωμένοι παρακολουθούσαμε 3 άτομα επί σκηνής να βγάζουν αυτόν τον ήχο “μαύρη τρύπα” που σε καταπίνει. Παράλυση και δέος!

Prometheus

Μαζί τους θα εμφανιστούν οι Έλληνες Prometheus, οι οποίοι κυκλοφόρησαν το 2017 το ντεμπούτο τους “Consumed in Flames”, το οποίο έβριθε από κοινά στοιχεία με τις ως τότε δουλειές των Ulcerate. Death/Black με ατμόσφαιρα, Avant Garde “ματιά”, συνθέσεις χωρίς “κλισέ”, και ήχος που πάει μόνο μπροστά.

Στα επόμενα δύο Albums τους το Black στοιχείο υπερίσχησε, οι πειραματισμοί συνεχίστηκαν, και μας προσέφεραν μουσική για απαιτητικούς ακροατές.
Αυτή θα είναι η πρώτη τους εμφάνιση στην Αθήνα, μην τους χάσετε, θα ανακαλύψετε ένα εγχώριο διαμαντάκι!
